- Personal Injury Paralegal -Vital role in assisting attorneys and clients throughout the personal injury claims process. This role involves a combination of legal expertise, administrative tasks, and client interaction to ensure the smooth progress of cases related to accidents, injuries, and negligence.
- Probate Paralegal –Assists attorneys in managing the administration of estates, wills, trusts, and other matters related to probate and estate planning.
Responsibilities:
1. Case Management:
– Assist attorneys in preparing, organizing, and maintaining case files and documents.
– Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
– Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
– Compile evidence, medical records, police reports, and other relevant documents for cases.
2. Client Communication:
– Interact with clients to gather information about accidents, injuries, and medical treatments.
– Provide clients with updates on case progress and answer their inquiries.
– Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor while dealing with clients’ concerns.
3. Legal Support:
– Prepare and organize documents for court filings and proceedings.
– Coordinate depositions, interviews, and other meetings with relevant parties
4. Administrative Tasks:
– Manage scheduling and calendars to ensure deadlines are met.
– Keep accurate records of billable hours, expenses, and client interactions.
– Assist in preparing and submitting invoices to clients or third-party payers.
5. Legal Compliance:
– Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents related to personal injury cases.
– Ensure all legal documentation and procedures are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
6. Technology and Software:
– Utilize legal software for document management, research, and case tracking.
– Proficiency in using software for drafting and formatting legal documents.
Qualifications:
– LLB
– Relevant experience as a personal injury paralegal or probate paralegal in a related legal field.
– Strong understanding of personal injury law or Probate &Wills laws, procedures, and legal terminology.
– Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Empathy and professionalism while interacting with clients.
– Familiarity with case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
